Being a big drag racer that I am, once I got home the modification bug took over and I turned the bike into more of a drag/street bike.
After I got home I threw it on the dyno to get a baseline before I started to mod it.
Bone stock it made 155 hp to the rear tire.

After the baseline dyno I installed a Brock's Alien Head Slip On exhaust, got the ecu flashed by Archer, and then threw it back on the dyno. At the same time I also got a Competition Werkes integrated tail light and mounted the plate on the tail with some double sided tape. Really helped clean the bike up.
It made 174.5 after a slip on and flash, a 19.2 increase. Thats a really good gain for less than $600 on a motorcycle!
Below is a dyno after, can tell how much louder the exhaust is :)

Next up was the Rifleman's insert, which was a breeze as well as the PMR tether kill switch. The throttle insert makes it like a quick turn throttle, but for only $25 and only took about 15 minutes to install because I'm a little slow sometimes. Very easy mod and worth the $25. I also had the PMR switch around from the r1 so that was a free mod. Need one of these to run 9.99 or faster, and I hope it can break into the 9s first time out.
Next up after that was a handful of modifications.
Evil Swing arm I picked up used on the drag racing forums. The evil swing arm is 8-12" over so if I did my math right it should sit be sitting around 67". At the same time installed a Soupy's lowering link, 16 tooth front sprocket and a 44 tooth steel rear sprocket. This is a -1/+5 combo which makes street riding kind of suck but it's nice for the track. Went with a black 160 link 525 EK MVXZ chain and ended up cutting out 5 links. Also extended the speedo sensor on the back wheel so it would reach with the new swing arm. Lowered the forks in the tripple tree about 1.75". Also replaced the spark plugs, install Graves Block Off Plates and change the air filter to a BMC Race filter. Then installed my air shifter from my r1 with a DME mount. Also installed a Brocks clutch mod and heavy duty clutch springs.

The stock air filter below was just nasty after the trip!
After all those modifications I took it up to Brainerd International Raceway and was able to run a 9.24 @ 148 with foot shifting as the air shifter was not working correctly.
Went back to the track 2 more times and didn't really improve my times much at all and ended up burning out the clutch. Replaced the clutch with a new cycle concepts clutch and also installed a lower profile front tire and a set of DME fender lowering brackets. Then went back to the track one more time and was finally able to hit my 8 second quarter mile pass!!!! :)
^Let the clutch out a little fast on one race and did a pretty crazy wheeelie!
Didn't get any videos of my 8 second passes, buddy was getting sick of recording by the end of the day but did get one of my 9.0 second runs on video.

Also got a few pictures of it before the end of the year by good photographers as well.
Overall bike has to be the best bike I've owned, and I've owned a few of them over the years! It had a 7k mile road trip with no issues at all and ran a 8 second quarter mile. Most bike never do a trip of that kind of length ever and very few bikes ever run a 8 second pass. To do both in the same summer was a great experience!
