Left Montrose this morning and headed towards the million dollar highway. Wow, just wow. The views were great and having no shoulder definitely kept me on my toes. Towards the end it started to rain a little bit, and I'm pretty sure there was small hail mixed in. Thank goodness for full gear or it would've hurt a lot more :)
After that I ended up on some really back roads in the what I would consider pretty desert-y. I didn't see another car for at least 30 minutes on the one road and once the striping on the road went away I got a little nervous I'd have another gravel experience. Turned out alright and was cool to be that far out in the middle of no where and have nothing around.
Ended up staying in Flagstaff, AZ for the night and had the best dinner hands down of the trip so far at Satchmo's. If you're ever in the area, definitely stop and check it out.
Grand Canyon tomorrow!
